Oleksandr Usyk stands as an Olympic gold medalist, three-time unified world champion and unbeaten in 24 pro fights.
The champion Usyk states he plans to remain active for two more years and expects to fight again in 2026, but has excluded a bout with British heavyweight Moses Itauma.
The Ukrainian fighter, 38, stopped Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium in July to become a double undisputed titleholder.
The Ukrainian, who had once owned every recognized championship belts at cruiserweight, had indicated before that he'd only box only once more before retiring.
However, the pound-for-pound star seems to have reversed that plan.
"I plan to box until I turn forty-one," Usyk told the Ready to Fight platform. "Then I plan to create a training center - I'll coach there and mentor boxers."
Usyk mentioned he is back to the gym after sitting out due to a injury which forced the postponement of a fight with World Boxing Organization required opponent Joseph Parker.
Usyk continued that, "If all goes well", he'll be back in the coming year but excluded 20-year-old Chatham fighter Itauma as a future challenger.
"Absolutely not, I won't fight Itauma," Usyk said. "He is youthful - always teasing me. He stated himself he won't strike older fighters."
"It's impossible to tell which opponent [{I'll fight next|I will face next|my next bout will be against] because talks are ongoing. It would be dishonest if I gave you a specific boxer."
The British boxer increased his undefeated streak to 13 wins, with 11 knockouts, by beating former world title challenger Dillian Whyte within 120 seconds in the summer.
World Boxing Association has instructed its regular titleholder Kubrat Pulev to fight Itauma as his next opponent, although the fighter from Bulgaria is keen to protect his title against Murat Gassiev in the UAE in the winter.
