I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
