Dortmund Thrash Villarreal, McTominay on Target for SSC Napoli

Borussia Dortmund stormed to a resounding 4-0 win over a reduced Villarreal side, halting a three-match winless run in style.

The Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy was the star, breaking the deadlock with a header from a corner in added time just before the interval.

He added a second early in the second half, capitalizing after his initial penalty was parried by goalkeeper Luiz Júnior, reacting quickest to tap in the rebound.

Villarreal's challenge was made more difficult when Juan Foyth was sent off for deliberately handling a goal-bound strike from Karim Adeyemi, conceding the fateful penalty.

Just a short time after, Adeyemi found the net, firing home from the penalty area to make it 3-0, before Daniel Svensson sealed the emphatic win with a powerful header in the dying moments of the match.

The result lifted Dortmund to fourth place in the table with 10 points from five fixtures, tied with Chelsea FC and Man City.

Villarreal, meanwhile, fell to third from bottom with a meager one point.

Juventus Snatch Late Victory

Juventus needed a stoppage-time winner from substitute Jonathan David to overcome Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt 3-2 and claim their maiden win of this season's competition.

The hosts looked to have snatched a draw when Sondre Brunstad Fet converted an 87th-minute penalty, canceling out goals from Juve's Loïs Openda and Weston McKennie, who had overturned Ole Didrik Blomberg's first-half first goal.

However, the late drama was not over, as the hosts were beaten in added time when goalkeeper Nikita Haikin failed to hold a shot from half-time substitute Kenan Yildiz, allowing David to pounce first and slam in the winning goal.

Scott McTominay Spares SSC Napoli's Blushes

Scott McTominay saved the day for Napoli as they marked the fifth anniversary of Diego Maradona's death with a 2-0 victory over Qarabag.

The Scottish midfielder nodded in the first goal in the 65th minute and later forced an own goal from Marko Jankovic, after a penalty from Manchester United loanee Rasmus Højlund was saved.
